Differences between JavaScript and Nodejs

Hey guys I’m here again

And with another interesting topic

I had a conversation with a fellow techie at an event but she was more into frontend development than backend development

So she asked a very interesting question “what’s the difference between JavaScript and Nodejs?” And I thought maybe there are other persons out here too with the same confusion

But don’t worry I’m here for you 😁😌

That’s why I said this article is worth your read (if you want to know more about JavaScript and Nodejs)🌚

LETS GOOO!!!!

“It’s easy to confuse Node.js and JavaScript, since they are both technologies that use the same language - JavaScript. But they are actually quite different! Node.js is a platform that allows you to run JavaScript code outside of a web browser. It’s often used to create back-end web servers and APIs. JavaScript, on the other hand, is a programming language that is used in web browsers to create dynamic and interactive web pages. To understand the difference between Node.js and JavaScript, let’s look at a simple example.

Say you want to build a website that has a simple chat function. With JavaScript, you can write code that runs in the user’s browser and creates a chat window on the page. But that code can only run while the user is visiting the website. With Node.js, you can write code that runs on a server and creates a chat application that users can access from any device. The code will run even when no one is using the website. That’s the main difference between Node.js and JavaScript. One runs in the browser, the other runs on a server.”

“Node.js and JavaScript are like peanut butter and jelly - they may be different, but they go great together!” 😉 Hopefully that helps clarify the difference between the two technologies. Let me know if you have any other questions! Thank you🥰 #inoctoberiwrite #node #javascript #nodejs #softwaredeveloper #softwaredevelopment #programming #article #backend #backenddevelopment
